CREATIVE BRIEF
As the final project for my Typography course, I undertook the task of creating a Type Specimen as a homage to the timeless typeface, Futura. Its roots can be traced back to the iconic Bauhaus movement, where form followed functionality and simplicity. I researched and composed all copywriting to ensure the specimen's cohesion and clarity.
A significant challenge I encountered was the need to transcend visual aesthetics and effectively convey the historical and cultural significance of Futura. To overcome this, I opted for decorative yet simplistic pages that harmonized with the informative content they juxtaposed, creating a visually compelling narrative. The project culminated in a hand-bound specimen and underscored the irreplaceable role of research in design.
