CREATIVE BRIEF
In my Motion Design course, I was tasked with designing a title sequence for the feature film "The Great Gatsby" using an experimental kinetic form library. The choice of film became apparent as I began collecting clips and discovered a unified aesthetic characterized by elements of light, color, motion, and texture. These elements evoked feelings of enchantment and glamour due to the consistent use of warm lighting and an unfocused lens. This film explored themes of 'old money' and 'new money,' which I represented through visual symbols such as jewelry, glitter, and glass objects. I integrated these visual cues to maintain the film's thematic integrity while utilizing abstraction through my kinetic forms.
